Emerging Horizons Information

Emerging Horizons is a consumer-oriented magazine about accessible travel. Founded in 1997, the primary focus of the publication is on travel for people with mobility disabilities--everybody from wheelchair-users to slow walkers. Emerging Horizons is published quarterly and features unbiased access information on foreign and domestic destinations, accessible lodgings, travel tips, news and lots of accessibility resources. Founded by travel writer Candy Harrington, Emerging Horizons believes in the "been-there-done-that" style of reporting. In keeping with the SATW code of conduct, Emerging Horizons' writers personally visit every destination that they cover. In most cases, the destinations are visited within the past year. Emerging Horizons accepts no advertising in order to present an unbiased view of accessible travel options. Available in print and on-line formats, Emerging Horizons is only available by subscription. Subscription rates are $16.95/year for US addresses and $21.95/year for non-US addresses.
