Emergency USA Information

EMERGENCY USA is an independent nonprofit organization established for the charitable purpose of raising awareness about a culture of peace and respect for human rights, and raising funds and community support to provide free medical care and rehabilitation for victims of wars and poverty. In today’s conflicts 90 percent of the victims are civilians, of which 1/3 are children. Every year war takes the lives of millions of unarmed people worldwide. In response to human suffering caused by wars, we believe that there is an urgent need to promote relief through uncompromising medical excellence, and we believe that healing wounds heals communities devastated by wars. The programs we support provide free-of-charge, high-standard medical and surgical care in war-torn areas. All facilities are designed, built and managed by the Italian NGO EMERGENCY where specialized international staff is committed to training local medical personnel. The work of EMERGENCY USA is possible thanks to the assistance of volunteers and supporters donating valuable time, funding and skills to this effort.
