Het Euro-Mediterraan Centrum Migratie & Ontwikkeling is sinds 1998 actief als onafhankelijke en seculiere mensenrechtenorganisatie. EMCEMO is een vrijwilligersorganisatie die voortkomt uit het Komitee Marokkaanse Arbeiders Nederland (KMAN). EMCEMO streeft naar een samenleving waarin burgers – in het bijzonder in Nederland en Marokko – ongeacht hun (religieuze, culturele en politieke) achtergrond en ongeacht hun geslacht en seksuele voorkeur, gelijke kansen hebben op maatschappelijke participatie en met respect voor verschillen samenleven. Dit doen wij met initiatieven zoals ‘Collectief tegen Islamofobie en Discriminatie’, ‘Comité 21 Maart’ en ‘Marokkaan in Mokum’.
