Embrapa Solos Information

Embrapa Soils is the Embrapa unit that is responsible for feasible solutions for the sustainable development of Brazilian agribusiness through the study and rational use of land assets and their interactions with the environment. Establishment of international reference in tropical soils, Embrapa Solos coordinates and performs all over the country, actions to predict and promote preventive measures of environmental risks due to inadequate use of soil and water resources.These actions are focused on the integrated view of soil as a heritage of present and future generations, giving priority to planning sustainable land use, and provide information for decision-making and contributing to the advancement of technical and scientific knowledge in the area of Soil Science.
