About EMA EMA Enterprises, based in Kalamazoo, Michigan, is owned and operated by Mike Leeuw. EMA is a multi-faceted foodservice company that employs over 200. Currently, EMA owns and operates 9 restaurants. EMA also operates two catering companies, Catering by Treat Street, and EMA Catering. EMA is also contracted to provide concessions for all Western Michigan University athletic events. In addition, EMA began operating the foodservice at Capital Region International Airport located in Lansing, Michigan. At this location, EMA operates two snack bars serving signature items and alcoholic beverages and has a franchise with Biggby Coffee. EMA gets its name from Mike and Jane Leeuw’s three daughters, Elizabeth, Michelle and Andrea. Each daughter has a restaurant named after her, Liz’s Parkview Cafe in Richland, Michigan, Michelle’s in Portage, Michelle's on Gull Rd and Sprinkle Road in Kalamazoo and most recently, Michelle's in Mattawan. Andrea's in Downtown Kalamazoo and Andrea Cafe & Pizza Too in Galesburg.
