eLock Technologies pioneered electronic on-demand bicycle parking over a decade ago with the goal of bridging the “last mile” for bike commuters. eLock Technologies first deployed the BikeLink™ system in 2002. Tens of thousands of “last miles” later, eLock Technologies is now the largest US provider of on-demand secure bike parking with BikeLink™ facilities installed in over 70 cities. The BikeLink™ system is the regional standard throughout the San Francisco Bay Area, the Pacific Northwest and San Diego regions. A secure, on-demand bike parking and bike sharing system, BikeLink™ is designed from the ground up to be flexible, easy to use, and viable in the long term as access and communication technologies evolve. The design and development of the BikeLink™ system has been consistently driven by the goal of optimizing convenience and reliability for the user, while minimizing the per-cyclist-served costs through economies of scale. Steven Grover, eLock’s founder and inventor of its technologies, remains fully engaged on a daily basis in steering the company, retaining core values, and sharing a vision for the company’s continued contributions to green transportation.
