Ellis Microfinance provides small loans and financial products to lower income and working people in Ghana who have no realistic access to traditional banking and related services. Our clients invariably improve their standard of living, gain new skills, and establish self-sustaining businesses. We started operations in 2006, and now cover the most populated areas in Southern and Central Ghana. We operate through our headquarters and four branch offices, located in Accra, Kumasi, and multiple locations in the Tema area. We serve 10,000 clients on a regular basis—and we’re growing at a rate of three percent monthly. More than 90 percent of our clients are women, 85 percent of which are repeat customers.
