Ellet High School Information

Ellet exceeds state expectations on passage rates for all five areas of the Ohio Graduation Test. The class of 2009 earned $1,958,948 in college scholarships. Ellet students are consistently accepted to prestigious universities such as West Point and Northwestern. Ellet's National Honor Society won national awards for its Senior Citizens Spaghetti Dinner and the Senior Citizen Prom at the Ellet Community Center. The group also designs and leads a Freshman Seminar Day and Senior Seminar each spring. Every senior creates a career passport portfolio. The Ellet career passport serves as the model for the state. Ellet students take enrichment trips to New York City, Chicago or Toronto. Ellet has two National Board Certification teachers on staff. To promote literacy, Ellet provides the 100 Book Challenge. Ellet students support endowment scholarships, which are awarded to Ellet graduating seniors. Students and staff support a landscape project, which beautifies the front entrance of the school. Teachers have an average of 18 years of experience, and 67% hold a master's degree or higher.
