Founded as a community development organization in 2010; East Lake Initiative (ELI) has always had an overarching focus of helping families end cycles of intergenerational poverty. Our mission is to partner to strategically provide community development within Jefferson County. We offer wrap-around services to families in the areas of housing, economic development, health and nutrition, and education. Through our partnership with Serving You Ministries, we began a collaborative program called Thrive Together/Jefferson County. We currently provide these services and family-centered coaching to 80+ families.
