Element 5 Architecture is an Austin architecture studio led by Nick Mehl and Drew Randall. We design custom homes, whole-house renovations and additions, restaurants and bars, and small multifamily. Before we draw, we read the site and the people we are designing for: the trees, the slope, the light, what the city allows, how the client lives. The people you meet are the people who design it, and they stay on the project from the first sketch to the last site visit. We plan for city comments and talk about schedule and scope early, so framing day holds no surprises. Our work is in Austin and the Hill Country. A lot of it reaches us through builders and word of mouth, and we like that.
