Founded in 1982, EPT began providing consulting engineering services to operators of fossil-fuel fired power plants with emphasis on low-NOx combustion and dry SO2 removal. In the mid-1980's EPT also managed large, complex R&D projects for EPRI, DOE, ESEERCO and others. Innovative, low-emissions combustion technology emerged from this work. Through the 1990's, EPT has grown into a complete supplier of engineering services, combustion equipment, instrumentation, shop rebuild and refurbishment of complete burners, field services, and training for upgrading and modernizing combustion systems. EPT has offices located in California, New Jersey, and Hawaii, and performs projects worldwide. EPT engineers average over 20 years experience in fossil-fuel combustion and associated emissions reduction. This expertise is leveraged through subsidiaries, licenses, and strategic alliances to provide broad technology and project capability. EPT is unique in its ability to apply state-of-the-art hardware, computer analysis, laboratory testing, and full-scale combustion test facilities to meet customer needs. Combustion Technologies, LLC (CTL), a subsidiary of EPT, is located in North Carolina. CTL specializes in the manufacture and supply of gas ignitors, smokeless oil ignitors, sidewall ignitors, and warm-up gun systems. CTL provides all necessary burner front components and engineering for compliance with NFPA 8502 guidelines. CTL's facilities are used by EPT for shop refurbishment and rebuild of complete burner assemblies.
