ElastiSense develops and produces sensor technology ideal for structural health monitoring, off-road machinery, factory automation and many other sensing purposes and applications. Our DS-Series displacement sensors are precise yet mechanically flexible thanks to our very unique ‘active rubber’ sensor technology. Unlike piston-based displacement sensors such as LVDTs, Potentiometers, and Linear Encoders, our sensors can measure displacement while tolerating off-axis motion. The core rubber sensing element is made of rubber and thus stretchable in all three dimensions. Our sensors and sensing solutions offer robust and reliable measurement of displacement, frequency, and speed in a wide variety of applications and have proved their value in terms of predictive application maintenance, decreased application downtime and increased efficiency of many different applications. Within structural health monitoring in particular, sensor technology from ElastiSense has helped increasing maintenance efficiency, safety, and overall maintenance economy.
