EKKO‘s birthplace was in the tropics of Sri Lanka, a brainchild of a mind that had unique ideas and decades of global exposure in the fashion world! Living in and travelling through the United States, Far-East & Sri Lanka, he founded many a company, and headed many a successful operation, including one of America’s top clothing brands, but still never managed to satisfy his craving of turning out a product line he was truly satisfied with. A challenge taken on by Lalantha Watudura, initially a banker by profession, who left the industry in 1989 to follow his true calling in the fashion world. The brand mission was to turn out a product line that is not only of premium quality, but also value-for-money and can be enjoyed by everyone who loves confidence & lifestyle. A daunting challenge! The result of decades of exposure, coupled with an eye for the finer details and an extensive knowledge on both fashion and apparel, gave birth to the brand EKKO in 2013.
