Founded in 1975 and owned by six Swedish energy companies, EFO sources and trades waste-derived fuels for energy recovery. We move ~1,000,000 tons into Sweden each year, supplying our owners’ plants with material for electricity and district heating generation (~SEK 800m turnover). Sustainability is foundational to EFO and our owners. As an integrated part of their operations, we take responsibility across the entire value chain — by working to reduce transport-related GHG emissions, ensuring human rights and good working conditions across our supply chain, and upholding business integrity via our Code of Conduct and systematic risk management.
