British Edutrust Foundation (Edutrust) is an education foundation and a registered charity (No: 1121761). It is a not-for-profit organisation established to promote excellence in education and learning. Edutrust is opening new academies across England as part of a major programme of investment in educational centres of excellence. Edutrust - and its operational arm, the Edutrust Academies Charitable Trust - works in partnership with individual schools, their local communities, local authorities and with all stakeholders who have an interest in education as part of the Government's Academies programme. The focus of Edutrust is supporting young people to achieve their true potential. Edutrust is committed to significantly improving students' ambitions, aspirations, learning, achievement and personal development, irrespective of their ability, gender, faith or race. Edutrust is sponsoring academies that are inclusive and provide for all students who will learn and develop together reflecting the multi-racial, multi-faith and multi-cultural nature of 21st Century Britain. The ethos and values of Edutrust support and develop a culture where students' individual faith and cultural requirements are recognised, respected and celebrated. The Edutrust is committed to fostering the tolerance and respect for others which leads to greater community cohesion. Edutrust's academies are supported by its national partners. These include PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP (financial and management) and Pinsent Masons (legal). In addition, each academy benefits from the support of local partners, including universities and other education providers from the maintained and independent sectors. Under the direction and leadership of Lord Amir Bhatia OBE, its Chairman, Edutrust's trustees support the organisation's Academy programme as part of their vision and pledge. The executive team, including Director General Sir Bruce Liddington and Chief Executive, Dr Krishna Sarda, manage the delivery of the organisation's strategies and plans.
