EDN LABS builds AI systems that protect and empower people, strengthen human rights, and help organisations act responsibly. We believe that when AI is used appropriately and guided by experts, it becomes a genuine force for good. Our work sits at the intersection of AI, safety and accountability, with a focus on projects where technology can materially improve people’s lives - not just generate efficiencies. Our flagship product, Atlas, is a course-connected AI tutor designed for universities and large courses. Instead of generic, unreliable answers, Atlas is grounded in each course’s actual materials: lectures, readings, LMS content and discussion forums. It helps students build real understanding through Socratic questioning and explanation, while giving educators anonymous insight into what students are asking and where they’re getting stuck. Atlas aims to improve pass rates, support digital equity, and reduce repetitive question load for teaching teams. Beyond Atlas, we partner with experts on projects such as: - Supporting victims of image-based abuse, by helping detect, organise and escalate harmful content. - Assisting human rights and humanitarian organisations to analyse reports, documents and media at scale. - Assessing corporate links to armed conflict and high-risk activities through AI-assisted review of public disclosures and reports. We co-design with domain experts (lawyers, researchers, educators, safety specialists), build with responsible AI principles from day one, and measure success in terms of real-world impact: safety, dignity, justice and access to education. If you’re working in these spaces and want to explore what expert-guided AI can do for your mission, we’d love to connect.
