Edilery Information

Edilery aspires to make a sustainable effort towards tackling climate change, promoting nutrition, creating livelihoods, and empowering marginalized sections of our society, with edible cutlery as the vehicle of change. Our objectives are to ensure the complete replacement of plastic cutlery from the global FnB industry in pursuit of our zero-waste vision; to encourage the organic cultivation of water-efficient and high-nutrition crops such as finger and pearl millets to help conserve the water table as well as minimize agricultural pollution; to improve the nutritional intake among economically weaker households as well as balance the unhealthy diets adopted by today's urban populace; to provide livelihoods specifically to women in rural areas to help support their social as well as financial empowerment; and to procure directly from exploited farmer communities at above-fair prices. In doing so, we would also be contributing to the accomplishment of United Nations Sustainable Development Goals 1, 2, 3, 5, 10, 11, 12 and 13.
