EdgeStar has since expanded to two additional brands, Koldfront and Avallon, with the goal to build great brands that dominate niche markets by anticipating what customers want and giving it to them in a way that amazes them. EdgeStar and KoldFront products have a focus on portability and innovative use of small spaces, while keeping an emphasis on quality construction and attentive customer support. When you purchase an EdgeStar, Koldfront or Avallon product, we believe that you open a relationship between you and us, and we will provide the customer support to nurture that relationship. All EdgeStar, Koldfront and Avallon products are designed and tested in house and backed by our warranty and service team in Austin, Texas. EdgeStar launched as a house brand for Living Direct, Inc. in 2004 when continued customer feedback provided insight into niche appliance needs in the market. We have since dedicated ourselves to filling those needs for our customers. Living Direct, Inc, formerly Richlund Ventures, was born in Austin, Texas after our founder, Rick Lundbom, launched CompactAppliance.com, the first Living Direct Network site, in 1999. Rick grew up around appliances as both his dad and grandfather sold appliances for boats and RVs. Rick quickly realized his family's business had the potential to reach a wider group of customers by launching a website. Since then the Living Direct Network of sites has continued to grow as well as the Edgestar, Koldfront and Avallon brands. Living Direct, Inc. along with the brands, EdgeStar, Koldfront and Avallon were acquired by Ferguson Enterprises in 2015.
