Edgeflip is a startup focused on using data and technology to help social causes improve how they use social media to engage and activate their supporters. We were an off-shoot of the Obama 2012 campaign Analytics team where we pioneered the use of targeted social media for advocacy and organizing at an unprecedented scale. Since then, we’ve been building data, analytics, and technology tools that allow non-profits, advocacy groups, and other social causes to turn the influence of their supporters into actions that matter. We recently launched our latest product, Donor Boost, that uses Facebook networks and data science to convert donation thank you pages into powerful tools for additional fundraising. As the ROI on Facebook fans and likes continues to decrease, and social causes struggle with making the promise of Facebook (as a platform for millennial engagement) a reality, we are now starting to build the next generation of our products - with the goal of turning Facebook supporters into an effective list. These tools will allow our clients to build their Facebook lists, understand it (at the level of individual supporters), communicate with the supporters on it, engage them, and activate them to improve fundraising, engagement, advocacy, and other efforts that social causes care about.
