The Mosinee School District is located in central Wisconsin between Wausau and Stevens Point on the I-39 corridor. Our District encompasses roughly 250 square miles with many lakes and outdoor recreational opportunities. The Mosinee School District has a wide grouping of students from the shores of Lake DuBay all the way North to the borders of the Nine Mile Recreation Area. Mosinee is a 4K-12 District, with one elementary school, offsite 4k sites, one middle school and one high school. The Wisconsin Rapids Public Schools is the district of choice for prospective students, parents, and staff in Central Wisconsin. A unified school district with an enrollment of approximately 4,800, WRPS includes a 4K center and 4K community sites, seven K-5 elementary schools, a middle school serving grades 6-8, one senior high school serving grades 9-12, an at-risk alternative high school for grades 11-12, and virtual programming for grades 4K-12. WRPS serves the City of Wisconsin Rapids, the villages of Biron, Rudolph, and Vesper, the Wood County Townships of Arpin, Grand Rapids, Hansen, Rudolph, Saratoga, Seneca, Sigel, and Sherry, and the Portage County Townships of Carson, Grant, and Plover. The curriculum is developed by content-specific subcommittees made up of professional staff who study the national and state standards, best practices, and assessments. The curriculum is consistently reviewed and revised for optimal student learning. Parents, students, and staff have opportunities for input throughout the curriculum development process. Virtual programming is offered at all age levels, and there is a vast array of co-curricular offerings to meet student needs and interests.
