Founded in 1999, the Environmental Conservation Trust of Uganda (ECOTRUST) is an indigenous, legally registered non-profit organization advancing conservation financing and sustainable landscape management in Uganda. ECOTRUST works at the intersection of climate action, biodiversity conservation and community livelihoods. Through innovative financing mechanisms, partnerships and landscape-based approaches, we support restoration, climate resilience and sustainable development across Uganda. Vision: Climate Resilient Communities and Sustainable Landscapes. Mission: To conserve biological diversity and enhance social welfare by promoting innovative and sustainable environmental management.
