EcoLogo Information

EcoLogo® is North America’s largest, most established environmental standard and certification mark. The Program rewards and recognizes environmental leadership by certifying products and services in a large variety of product and service categories, using science-based standards developed in a collaborative, multi-stakeholder engagement process. EcoLogo Program standards are based on criteria that consider the entire product life cycle - an important factor that discerns true environmental leadership. All certified products and services are verified by an independent, third-party auditor to ensure they meet the associated standard's criteria. The EcoLogo Program is one of only two programs in North America that have been successfully audited by the Global EcoLabelling Network (GEN) as meeting ISO 14024 standards for eco-labeling. In 2010, the EcoLogo Program became part of the UL global network, significantly expanding its reach and influence as a leading certifier of the world's most sustainable products.
