EcoFormation Information

The Foundation EcoFormation is a non-profit organisation, recognised as a public utility and registered under Swiss law. It creates and implements sustainable development projects in developing countries, in the interest of and in close collaboration with local populations. EcoFormation has based its current projects on five measurable parameters: - Professional training of unemployed and jobless youths - Plantation of nurseries to produce endemic species - Reforestation of forest areas and restoration of biodiversity - Agro forestry dedicated to food production (subsistence agriculture) - Job creation on the reforested sites (50 jobs / 1000 hectares) Our main objectives are to: - Reduce poverty: Educate and train, create local employment - Reinforce food security: Grow subsistence and trading products - Create a socio-economic dynamics: cohesion between local institutions. - Value natural resources: develop wood channels and growing - Restore ecosystems: Positive impacts on climate change. - Involve international institutions: Internship exchanges between students. Two projects have been implemented in Madagascar and in Peru.
