EcoCitizen is a social-ecological impact enterprise, fully not-for-profit, accredited by the Luxembourg Government as a private research institute, and 100% women led and owned. We hold Research Observer status with the Convention on Biological Diversity, accreditation to the UN Ocean Conference, and Actor status under the UN Decade on Ecosystem Restoration. Based in Luxembourg and working with governments, institutions, and communities across Mesoamerica, South America, and Southeast Asia, our role is translation in both directions: helping institutions turn international commitments into legislation, projects, and investment frameworks that withstand scrutiny, and ensuring that the realities of people and ecosystems on the ground inform how those frameworks are designed. What we do: - Research and advisory on climate and nature governance, including NDCs, NAPs, and NBSAPs for Global Majority governments. - Capacity building for public institutions in climate diplomacy and multilateral negotiation, including delegation support at UN climate conferences. - Design and delivery of high-level institutional presence at multilateral events, including Luxembourg's first standalone national pavilion at UNFCCC COP30 in Belém. - Research and development in enhanced environmental monitoring, evaluated by the European Space Agency, connecting sustainability, science, space, and software. - Sustainable finance and climate and nature risk advisory: SFDR, ISSB, TNFD, EU Taxonomy, CSRD, and CSDDD, from double materiality assessment to reporting and data governance. As a Société d'Impact Sociétal (a status conferred by ministerial decree) our entire activity is dedicated to social and environmental purpose: 100% of our resources serve our mission. We host a transdisciplinary traineeship and welcome partnerships with universities, research bodies, public institutions, and mission-aligned organisations.
