We offer simple escapes to tiny cabins nestled in nature.
At Getaway, we believe in making space for more free time. Our tiny cabins in nature provide a break from the city, technology, and work, so that guests can recharge and reconnect to who and what matters most.
Outposts are located within about a two-hour drive of major metro cities—far enough to disconnect but close enough for a spontaneous escape. Getaway has 29 Outposts with over 1000 cabins located outside of Atlanta, Austin and San Antonio, Boston, Charlotte and Raleigh, Chicago, Cleveland and Pittsburgh, Dallas, Houston, Los Angeles, Nashville, New York, Portland, Seattle, and Washington, D.C.

Impact Drug and Alcohol Treatment Center has been a cornerstone of addiction recovery in Pasadena since 1969. We are committed to healing lives through comprehensive, person‑centered care. Our approach blends clinical expertise with innovative, arts, educational, and reentry programs—empowering individuals to transition from crisis to community.
What Sets Us Apart
1. Proven Impact with Legacy
With over 50 years of dedication, Impact continues to lead in addiction care, earning recognition like the State of California’s Behavioral Health Continuum Infrastructure Program (BHCIP), with grants totaling $20.3 million to enhance and expand our facilities and services.
2. Creative Pathways to Recovery
We partner with USC’s Prison Education Program to offer playwriting workshops, helping individuals find voice and purpose through storytelling and creative expression.
3. A Collaborative Community Ally
Through Impact Alliance, our innovative program with the Pasadena Police Department, new recruits train alongside individuals in recovery—fostering empathy, trust, and healthier community dynamics.
4. Holistic Reintegration Support
Our comprehensive services extend beyond treatment to include vocational training, long-term housing, reentry support, and higher education initiatives—ensuring sustained success in recovery.
5. Community Engagement & Events
Restoring the Missing Piece: A Dinner Celebrating the Journey of Hope took place on July 26 at the Wende Museum in Culver City. This event, including a silent auction that launched on July 18, supported recovery and reentry—bringing together community, culture, and compassion.
We also host resource and wellness fairs (e.g., with LATTC), actively engaging surrounding communities and offering support and visibility to those on their recovery journey.
The year was 1999 when our first tiny home was mounted to a trailer. The little home was named Tumbleweed because it had roots and was mobile all at the same time. And in that moment, the seeds for a housing revolution were planted.
We help people reach their dreams of downsizing their homes and upsizing their quality of life. Tumbleweed provides training materials, workshops, full plans and support for thousands of people looking to downsize into a Tumbleweed. Our cottage plans range from 261 to 874 square feet, while our House-To-Go models are from 117 to 172 square feet.
As the tiny house movement expands, we work hard to assist people who don't have the time, skills or interest in building their own tiny homes. In 2013, we became a nationally certified small home builder. All our House-To-Go models, built at our Colorado Springs, CO manufacturing facility, are certified by the RVIA to meet electrical, plumbing, construction, heating and fire safety.
Tumbleweed houses are delivered ready to move in -- anywhere in the Continental US and Alaska. Our headquarters are located in Sonoma, CA.
