At ecoBLU we pride ourselves on providing efficient, professional, and reliable service while offering a superior product with a particular emphasis on quality and value. Finished product and shipments are sample tested and logged to insure that each customer receives the highest quality of product. API and independent lab testing is performed once a year to maintain standards and quality control. Not only is a sample taken yearly and tested to continue with our API certification but ecoBLU also has an independent company come and test our facility to insure that our products are of the purest quality and we continue to uphold our standards. ecoBLU Diesel Exhaust Fluid (DEF) is an environmentally friendly aqueous fluid that is sprayed into the exhaust stream after leaving the engine converting the NOx gas to carbon dioxide and water. With an increase of environmental concerns of diesel exhaust emissions from diesel engines ecoBLU aims to drastically reduce the harmful nitrogen oxide (NOx) and ammonia (NH3) that is released into the air through the exhaust. As of January 1st 2010 new EPA laws have gone into effect which states: “any passenger car, SUV, or truck diesel engine that is manufactured moving forward must meet the NOx emissions release of 0.2%. Any vehicle diesel engine prior to this date will be exempt until 2015 time frame to when these vehicles must be converted to an SCR (selective catalytic reduction) system”. Formulated with high quality urea and demineralized water ecoBLU DEF works with all selective catalytic reduction (SCR) equipped diesel engines. ecoBLU is API certified and is the second producer of DEF within California and one of the first within Southern California.
