Echo Hill Camp is a sleepaway summer camp for 150 kids ages 7–16 on Maryland's Eastern Shore, right on the Chesapeake Bay. We've been running since 1914, and the Rice family has led the camp for three generations. At Echo Hill, kids choose their own activities each day from more than 20 options, including sailing, waterskiing, arts, and sports. Our program is non-competitive, so campers are free to try new things, build real skills, and take healthy risks at their own pace. Summers here are outdoors and unplugged, with no phones or screens, just campfires, the waterfront, and friendships that last. Choosing to be ACA-accredited means we hold ourselves to national standards for health, safety, and program quality, and keeping kids safe and families informed is at the center of everything we do. Our sister program, the Echo Hill Outdoor School, has offered hands-on environmental education to students for more than 50 years.
