Autism Spectrum Australia (Aspect) is a not for profit organisation and Australia’s largest national service provider for people on the autism spectrum. PATHFINDERS FOR AUTISM is a state-wide (Maryland) parent sponsored, 501(c)3 non-profit organization dedicated to improving the lives of individuals with autism and those who care for them. Established in February 2000 by B.J. Surhoff and his wife Polly Winde Surhoff and other parents of children with autism, to provide a central clearinghouse of information for families seeking support for their loved one affected by autism. Pathfinders works toward: improved access to information and resources (for parents and professionals); improved autism awareness; earlier detection and interventions; training of professionals including first responders, community service providers, educators, hospitality staff, and more; and the development of lifespan services for individuals with autism and their families.
