The microbiota (from Greek mikros, small, and biotē, life) describes the huge collection of microorganisms that inhabit our bodies. New approaches based on biometrics and next generation ‘omics’ technologies have linked an imbalanced microbiota to poor glucose control, diabetes and a number of autoimmune diseases. At Eatrics, we develop new approaches that use the microbiota as an ally to tackle these major health problems. We provide self-diagnostics kits that use microbiota and biometrics data in a machine-learning model to improve immune symptoms with nutrition.
