EASTERN MARKET POTTERY has offered classes in pottery making on Capitol Hill since 1968. The classes we offer four nights a week and Thursday mornings are taught by skilled potters with rich and varied backgrounds. Instruction is individualized to meet the needs of students at all skill levels. Our small and informal classes provide a relaxed atmosphere for learning, making pottery, and making new friends. Since July of 2009, we've been back inside Eastern Market. This has been a real Homecoming for us. Our 1100 square foot studio is in the south end of the Market basement. We have two new kilns and the studio is air-conditioned. The studio entrance is in the C Street stairwell of South Hall.
