Earth's Best provides a delicious variety of organic products designed specifically to keep children healthy. This is the principle on which the brand was founded on more than twenty years ago when twin brothers -- Ron & Arnie Koss started their Vermont based organic food company in 1985. They wanted babies to begin their lives with wholesome and safe food diets based upon organic farming practices designed to enrich Earth's soil and water supplies for future generations. The Koss brothers recognized that traditional baby food recipes included many refined and overly processed ingredients. They recognized the amount of agricultural chemicals found in conventional foods and how some farming methods in the US could be improved through more sustainable farming methods that model after nature's systems and processes. The vision of these Vermont brothers coalesced a broad base of enthusiastic supporters and by 1987, they had opened their first organic food processing facility in Vermont. In the first years, there were 20 employees producing 3 fruit purees and 2 vegetable purees, but the demand for safe organic baby foods was growing quickly and Earth's Best stepped up its plans to service this growing need of concerned families. In 2000, Earth's Best proudly joined the Hain Celestial Group, a leading natural and organic food company.
