Earthex Logistics Pty Ltd is a bulk haulage contractor, active in civil resource projects, operating primarily in the Pilbara region of WA. Our company's head office is located in Perth with our depot located in Port Hedland. Earthex Logistics - initially Earthex WA - was established in 1994 by Des Johnstone and Bruce Tilka. Murray Lumsden joined the organisation in 2003 forming Earthex Logistics with Des Johnstone remaining in the capacity of Managing Director while Murray assumed the position of Director Operations. Murray's responsibilities with Earthex involve supervising the company's in-field operations, marketing and client liaison. Des is responsible for the administration, marketing and general operation of the company. Earthex Logistics has grown dramatically since undertaking its first project for Cargill Salt in 1994. Earthex has established an excellent reputation as an efficient contracting business with an experienced management team, skilled operators and reliable range of plant and equipment. It has become the premier bulk haulage contractor of choice for a number of Australia's leading contractors and resource companies. This reputation has led to jobs with industry giants BHP and FMG as well as notable contractors such as NRW, Thiess, HWE, BGC and Main Roads Western Australia. Earthex Logistics pioneered the use of side tippers in long vehicle configurations. The company now owns and operates an extensive range of prime movers, side tippers and wheel loaders. Our fleet has been deployed successfully in a wide array of scenarios including rail interaction, sea walls and wharfs, national highways, rural areas and metropolitan centres. Earthex Logistics Pty Ltd is a full member of the WA Branch of the Civil Contractors Federation, Australia's peak industry body for the civil construction sector.
