Eagle River was selected as a "Main Street" community in 1999, joining over 1,500 other cities in 44 states that use proven strategies to accomplish building improvements, downtown beautification, business retention and recruitment, community branding and promotions, and other methods that lead to a vibrant and viable downtown. If you're thinking of getting into business downtown, or if you're already in business and thinking of improving or expanding, click on "Business Assistance" for a description of the various services available to you at no cost. If you'd like to help with a donation to one of our community improvement projects like the Artscape banners or Flags & Flowers or downtown landscaping or Riverview Park, click on "Projects" and choose a favorite. If you'd like to volunteer to help install Christmas decorations or serve on one of our committees or maintain one of our community gardens or help with an event or fundraiser, click on "Volunteers". Eagle River Revitalization Executive Director Martha Geiseman and the nine member Board of Directors are working hard every day to make downtown Eagle River a better place, economically, aesthetically and socially. A major part of our annual budget comes from fees assessed by a statutorily-authorized Business Improvement District on all commercial properties in the City. We sincerely thank these businesses, as well as, Eagle River's Mayor and City Council for their enthusiastic ongoing support of our mission and our projects.
