Eagle Point Elementary School Information

The DeForest Lions are members of Lions International, the largest service club organization in the world. Our primary goal is to eliminate preventable blindness worldwide. Lions clubs worldwide have committed more than $300,000,000 for this cause over the past decade through various Sight programs. The DeForest Lions received its charter from Lions International in July of 1956 with 32 members. We were sponsored by the Lions Clubs of Madison and Sun Prairie. We in turn have sponsored the DeForest Lioness Club and the Lions Clubs of Arlington, Lake Wisconsin, and Token Creek. We also sponsored the DeForest High School Leo Club. For a half century the Lions have been committed to making the DeForest community a better place to live by serving those in need. Lions operate the Leader Dogs for the Blind School in Rochester Michigan. The Center has trained over 11,000 dogs since it was founded in 1939. More than 300 new leader dogs are trained and given to new recipients at no cost each year. Fund Raising and Lions: Over the years DeForest Lions have raised funds through a variety of activities. Club members pay all administrative costs including State and International dues.
