Eagle Pest Control Information

Eagle Pest Control was established in 1968 by Angelo Papadopoulos. After having experience in the pest control industry, he decided to start his own company and specialise in fumigation of shops and premises for cockroaches and pests. He had a lot of requests to carry out other pest control but referred these jobs onto his former employer, as he was busy with fumigation. Eventually, he formed an agreement with a friend in the industry to work together. From this informal partnership, they decided it was better that they parted ways and keep their friendship and form separate companies and share their work load. He worked as a baker in the early hours of the morning and did pest control during the day. The business accounts were handled by his wife Teresa and the business was growing quite considerably. Over the years the business grew and Angelo worked full time in pest control. They kept their client base and provided good old fashioned service to grow their business through referrals and repeat business. Angelo's son John worked part time in the business from 1995 and did all of the administration and sales and marketing. It was at this time also that Angelo came up the idea of creating a reticulation system to target the cavity areas of a house to prevent termite entry. Together with John, they developed the Cavtect Anti-Termite Reticulation System that is being used Australia wide today. As Cavtect and Eagle Pest Control grew, John left an IT degree at university to help Angelo with the day to day running and operation of the business. Through his fathers teachings and experience, John learned every facet of pest control and took over the running of the business in 2000. Angelo and Teresa still work in the business and it has grown to a level where it is constantly growing and employing staff but still maintaining the family business values.
