E2praxis Information

E2praxis is a unique, research-centered consultation firm that specializes in community design and in the impact environmental design has on individual and community health and wellbeing. Assessment and evaluation undertaken by E2praxis includes both process-based and outcome-based goals and objectives, quantitative and qualitative assessment and evaluation methods, and community needs and impact analyses, including post-occupancy evaluation. Jane Ellery, PhD, is owner and senior consultant at E2praxis. Jane’s educational background is in public health where she specializes in research on community wellbeing and community change efforts that utilize community-engaged practices. Jane’s research and publication record includes the development of community health and wellbeing initiatives, and she is a Senior Fellow and member of the Healthy Places work group at the National Wellness Institute. Peter J. Ellery, PhD, is lead researcher and Managing Principal at E2praxis, and a Senior Fellow and member of the Healthy Places work group at the National Wellness Institute. Peter's work combines his education and past research experience in health, teaching, community development and landscape architecture to explore socially, economically and environmentally conscious solutions for communities using user-centered, collaborative design processes. Peter has a background in observational and focus group data collection and analysis and is FAA certified to collect aerial data using small UAS, or drone, technologies.
