Dyslexia Rocks Information

Dyslexia Rocks Inc. was created by an Idea, inspired by accomplishments and made with love. My name is Diana Soltren and I am the founder of Dyslexia Rocks Inc., which is a non-profit organization that I was inspired to make for my eight year old daughter Damaris. Damaris was diagnosed with Dyslexia this past summer of 2014. Once we had a name for our concern (I say "we" because it's not her alone it's "us") Our next step was working through, it, now it was a matter of finding her the right help. Needless to say that just finding out that my daughter had a learning disability was overwhelming. I say that because at one point I didn't want to be that parent. The parent who has a special needs child. That parent who has to tell everyone "oh my daughter has some learning disabilities" I felt ashamed and even embarrassed. So many Parents would be boasting with joy how their third grade was reading at a fourth or even fifth grade level, and I was struggling to get my third grader to read at a second grade level. Needles to say we embraced her Dyslexia. I thought well you know what other than the fact that " hey she can't read so well, there's nothing she can't do" and so I said "you know what Damaris?
