We are a seventh-generation family-operated company with around 1,500 employees worldwide that is successful with fiber ropes, steel wire ropes and strapping. The product portfolio includes steel ropes for ropeways, cranes and rope construction, synthetic fiber ropes, for example for sailing, recreational climbing, personal fall protection, tree care and industrial applications, as well as plastic strapping for transport security.

For 140 years, Samson has been recognized as a worldwide leader in the development and manufacture of high-performance synthetic ropes. Among its many innovations, Samson invented the double braid and pioneered the first high modulus polyethylene fiber ropes. Today, Samson engineers continue to pioneer the use of new fiber technology and the development of innovative coatings and constructions to produce ropes with unprecedented performance characteristics. Samson’s engineers use time-tested nylon, polyester and polypropylene fibers in conjunction with newer developments in fiber technology, including Technora® and high-molecular weight polyethylene (HMPE, such as Dyneema® fiber). The result – products that raise the bar of performance and quality for Samson customers. Samson’s commitment to customers includes field engineering consultation and support, products custom-designed to solve a specific customer problem or application, and after-sale support including residual strength testing, customer-specific operating manuals, and field inspection.
