Dynamic Planet makes the business case for nature and helps build ‘conservation economies’ - that is, economies that restore nature, rather than deplete it, for the benefit of people and our climate. Dynamic Planet helps communities, businesses and governments effectively protect, restore and manage their seascapes, coastlines, and islands holistically – starting with nature first. Using a combination of policy reform, new business models, blended finance, strategic communications, and best practices, Dynamic Planet and partners help shift from extraction to regenerative conservation economies. Guided by the global target of effectively protecting at least 30% of both land and sea by 2030, much of Dynamic Planet’s work focuses on ocean protection and the interventions that allow for bountiful marine life and thriving communities that depend on them. Dynamic Planet co-founded Revive Our Ocean alongside National Geographic Pristine Seas and serves as the initiative’s coordinating body. Revive Our Ocean is a co-producer of the Ocean with David Attenborough film, which conveys the message that when we protect our ocean, it bounces back faster than we could have imagined.
