Top Notch Machining is the go-to milling machinist for companies in the Pacific Northwest and surrounding regions. Trusted by organizations like HP, DWFritz, Sikorsky, Washington State Ferries, & more, we’re a partner instead of a job shop.
We respond to every potential request, letting you know if A) it’s a project we can handle and B) if there are any adjustments we can make to decrease production time and costs, while ensuring the end product meets your exact needs.
As a partner to our customers, we work with you to get your part made right the first time. No shipping out something that doesn’t work, no making you reorder, and no backlogging your supply chain.
While our primary focus is on the automation, robotics, medical devices, food processing, and marine industries, we also work with customers in aerospace, defense, and more.
OUR WORK
Some recent examples of projects we’ve done, and improvements we’ve been able to make to save our customers time and money (with savings generally averaging 20% and going as high as 30%) are:
-Reduced the weight of a bracket with multiple mounting surfaces by changing the angle of the mounting surface on the bracket and removing unnecessary material (pockets) where possible. This enabled the customer to reduce the overall weight of the end product by eliminating the need for further supports, all without compromising the integrity of the bracket.
-Decreased the cost and production time for another bracket that needed multiple high tolerance surfaces. It originally came as one single piece, but we were able to divide the bracket into multiple pieces, while maintaining the integrity of the part.
-Recommended a material change for a part that made it easier to machine, decreasing the cost for the customer, while maintaining the necessary tolerances and integrity.
