DVN Development Information

DVN Development develops real estate through the combined disciplines of architecture, economics, and ownership. We originate opportunities, test their feasibility, shape the product, design the architecture, and remain close to the decisions that determine how a project gets built and ultimately performs. This means design and underwriting happen in conversation with one another. Site planning develops alongside feasibility. Construction decisions are evaluated against both experience and capital. Operations influence the architecture before opening day. Our work includes Será at Sandy Ridge, a hospitality project in West Virginia designed and developed by DVN, and a growing portfolio of hospitality and development work across the Mid-Atlantic and Appalachia. Será was completed in 2025 and published by ArchDaily in 2026. We are drawn to projects where the conventional answer is not necessarily the best one: difficult land, overlooked assets, unusual hospitality opportunities, and partnerships where better design can materially change the development thesis. We build places we would want to own.
