Since the beginning, Kurtz has been focused on building custom-designed EMS and staffing programs for municipalities, fire protection districts, industrial sites, and hospitals. Our ability to synthesize our customers' needs with Kurtz's expertise into a unique, goal-driven program was the foundation, and is the fuel, for our growth.
Kurtz EMS is comprised of Kurtz Ambulance Service, Inc., Kurtz Paramedic Service, Inc., and Kurtz Industrial Fire Services, Inc., which are centered on providing exceptional emergency medical services, contract firefighting staff, ambulance service, and industrial fire safety/EMS staff.
Today, Kurtz employs over 500 people across several states, but we still maintain strong roots as a family owned and operated business, originally founded by Karl Kurtz with one ambulance.
Our successes include 24 fire department staffing sites, 7 industrial staffing sites, over 50 private ambulance vehicles, and operation of 5 hospital based ambulance services.
Forest Home is a local landmark listed on the National Registry of Historic Places and a tranquil, active cemetery.
Established in 1850, Forest Home played an important role in the early growth of Milwaukee, and is the final resting place of many illustrious and notable historic figures. The landmark Chapel, mausoleums, and monuments make for a compelling destination. Our 200 acres of rolling hills and magnificent trees provide a serene park-like place to walk.
The cemetery provides any number of burial and cremation options. Forest Home is the only cemetery in Milwaukee to offer natural, green burial in our Prairie Rest area.
At Countryside Funeral Homes , we listen more than we talk. We believe you know best what type of farewell fits the unique life of your loved one. We are simply here to help guide you as needed. Whether you're seeking a traditional funeral, a memorial service or making pre-need arrangements, we will treat your circumstances with complete empathy and respect. We also specialize in cremation services. For more than a quarter century, we have described our philosophy as " common sense " funeral service. This means we do not hide our prices; we believe in offering less expensive options, including cremation services; we support our local community by hiring local and buying local; and we support countless organizations and charities because these are our communities, too. We have plans and packages available for all circumstances, at varying prices to meet your individual needs and budget. Common sense also means supporting American industry. We are the only funeral home in our area that does not purchase caskets imported from China. Yet our casket prices remain lower than most. Unlike our competition, we don't charge extra for the "little things" such as DVD tributes, pallbearer gloves and poster boards.
