Nicolas Cloiseau, Master Chef of La Maison du Chocolat, Meilleur Ouvrier de France Chocolatier 2007, maintains a signature taste throughout his creations, even from the delicate chocolate covering, to the sumptuous ganache, following through to the chocolate pastries. For more than 35 years, La Maison du Chocolat has taken the science of balance and associations to an art form. Perfect harmony on the palate highlights the singularity of these signature creations of unique taste.

In 1979, we opened the doors of our small handcrafted, handmade chocolate factory on St-Joseph Street in Lauzon, Québec, to create jobs for the family. At the time, the store had only three employees and specialized primarily in the manufacturing of Easter chocolates. Then, over the years, our craftsmen began to develop more and more new products on the expertise of European know-how, while adapting to the taste of the local clientele. From small chocolate manufacturers we became master chocolatiers, now recognized as leaders in the chocolate world. It was in 1996 that we moved into a magnificent ancestral home in Old Levis, Québec, and launched a revolutionary product: soft ice cream dipped in real chocolate! With a recipe that remains exclusive to Chocolats Favoris even today, it has attracted people from all over and launched the reputation of our company to new heights as the chocolate destination of choice. We then became a “must” of summer fun. We decided to offer an even more unique magical product no less than 12 real chocolate flavours, with no added oils to dilute, that are now available both in dippings for your ice cream and as a fondue that’s ready to take home! Whether you are driven by the subtle taste of dark chocolate or have a preference for silky smooth milk chocolate, all your senses will seek to appreciate the nuances - its colour, its shine, its original or classic presentation, its subtle and intoxicating aroma.... Depuis décembre 2008, Au Pain Doré Ltée s’est jointe au Groupe Le Duff, entreprise française d’envergure internationale qui chapeaute notamment les boutiques Brioche Dorée à travers le monde ainsi que les usines de Bridor en France, au Canada et aux États-Unis pour ne nommer que ces entités. Aujourd'hui, Au Pain Doré adhère aux mêmes valeurs que ses fondateurs et c’est toujours avec la même passion et attention que ses équipes vous accueillent en boutique.
