Dublin University Management Science Society (DUMSS) is a leading business society within Trinity College Dublin. Our core membership base is made up of students reading MSISS, which had an entry requirement of 625 points in 2021 (top 2.3% nationwide). The MSISS degree equips students with a variety of technical skills, but in addition places a great emphasis on developing soft skills such as problem solving, critical thinking and interpersonal skills. Of course, DUMSS also attracts students studying a wide variety of different disciplines, notably Engineering, Computer Science and Business / Economics. DUMSS focuses on providing an insight to members regarding all of the diverse career opportunities available to them. Throughout the year, we host a careers fair, internship fairs and industry insight events, as well as social events for our members such as pub crawls, trips away and sporting leagues. ‘The DUMSS Show’ podcast was also launched last year, and four episodes have been recorded and released so far. DUMSS members have been interviewed on a range of different topics, from tips for other years on college modules and how to manage workload, to possible career paths and job application advice.
