DSD Ferrometalco was founded in 1979 by the German Ferrostaal and is considered one of the Largest Steel Manufacturing and Construction Company in the Middle East as it has a production capacity of 50,000 Tons/Year, in which 30,000 Tons/Year of Steel Structures, 15,000 Tons/Year of Plate Work and 5,000 Tons/Year of Pipe Work. The company is completely owned by the German DSD Steel Group which was also founded by Ferrostaal, which is now completely owned to the Belgium Group DSD Steel Construction AG. The main business sectors that DSD Ferrometalco operates in are: - Power Plants. - Oil & Gas. - Petrohemical and Chemical Plants. - Steel Mills. - Cement Plants. - Commercial Centers, High rise Building and Steel bridges. Currently the number of employees is average of 1,500. The company head office and the Pipe Prefab Workshop is located in Cairo, Egypt and the Main Plant is located in Belbeis, Egypt.
