DrinkSmart Inc. Information

DrinkSmart Inc. is a not-for-profit initiative, currently funded by Smart Serve Ontario. The objective of this program is to promote responsible drinking to post-secondary students in Ontario. After more than a year of preparation, DrinkSmart Inc. launched in the Fall of 2013 during Orientation Week, in the Waterloo Region. University of Waterloo, Wilfrid Laurier University and Conestoga College were the first 3 campuses in Ontario to pilot the program. Planning is currently underway to build on and further develop the responsible drinking message locally, and across the province. The concept of the DrinkSmart Inc. message is that it is developed organically; by students for students. Our goal is to build partnerships at each post-secondary institution across Ontario in order to implement collaborative and effective awareness campaigns that are tailor-made to suit the specific needs of each campus.
