Drift Information

We’re on a mission to unlock the freedom to live anywhere. Drift is a non-profit, public-interest initiative helping tech and IT professionals, founders, freelancers, researchers, employees and families understand their options for residency and citizenship in Germany. Whether you’re moving for work, joining someone you love or making Germany your permanent home, Drift helps you understand what comes next. Tell us about your situation. Get clear information supported by public legal sources. When you need a lawyer, find one based on relevant expertise, jurisdiction and real availability. The platform is free for people to use. Lawyers pay a flat subscription, with no commission on their legal fees. Every euro goes back into running and improving Drift. Independent lawyers charge separately for their legal services. We started with our own experiences of immigration. Working alongside immigration lawyers showed us how many people care deeply about making this system better. We want to give them somewhere to do it together. Our ambition is to connect non-EU immigrants across Europe: to share what we know, help each other and make the freedom to live anywhere possible for more people. Build it with us. Our founders volunteer their time. We welcome volunteers in law, technology, research, design, communications and community building. Bring your skills, your experience and your ideas. Message us here on LinkedIn. https://drift-ai.org Drift is a public-interest initiative by Drift Solutions UG. Our work with consumer law firms and public institutions lives at drift-ai.eu.
