We built our massagers to solve two big problems in our own practice and now very happily share with colleagues. PROBLEM ONE: PATIENTS WHO NEED MORE SOFT TISSUE THERAPY THAN THEY HAVE TIME FOR OR CAN AFFORD Most chronic issues need repeated soft tissue therapy over time. Without this patients relapse, then go off looking for the next cure. Self massage using a vibration massager was good idea, but the massagers we found were in-effective. PROBLEM TWO: GETTING CHARGED AN ARM AND A LEG FOR “PROFESSIONAL” MASSAGERS 20 years ago I paid $500 for a “professional massager” that kept on breaking down and cost $137 plus courier fees for repairs. They’d cost about $30 to build, so professionals get ripped off badly. THE SOLUTION We built our own massagers and made them: • easy to use and very effective for patients to use at home • full professional power so I didn’t have to keep paying to get that “professional” massager fixed all the time. SUPPLYING COLLEAGUES I gave a few massagers to colleagues who had the same issues and asked for cartons of them. HOW WE DO BUSINESS NOW The business has evolved, with a lot more colleagues, but it’s still based around i) providing the best solution for the original problems, and ii) sharing this with respected colleagues. 1. We’ve developed more effective machines, including i) our General Purpose Massager and ii) our new Ultimate Quad Head Massager. 2. To get the best results for colleagues and patients we’re continually researching and publishing educational material and advice. 3. We’ve seen that $30 machine getting sold for $500. Most goes for advertising, sales reps, sponsoring athletes and “middle men”. We are much happier to give a clinic a sample massager (to keep) and rely on colleagues recommending and telling others.
