D.R. Johnston is the domestic wholesale division of JBS Australia – the largest meat processing company in Australia and a division of JBS, the largest in the world. Our direct affiliation provides us with year-round access to a comprehensive brand portfolio that has been specifically developed to cater to the growing needs of modern consumers and ensures consistent quality and availability of supply, which is of utmost importance to our customers that range from butcher shops to independent supermarkets, and food service. We pride ourselves on being the exclusive distributor of some of JBS Australia’s most recognised brands, both at an industry level and consumer-facing. We also maintain our own pork brand, Tender Valley Pork, which provides us with the flexibility to cater to our customers’ needs on a short turnaround. With a team of dedicated employees, D.R. Johnston operates seven wholesale facilities, strategically placed throughout Australia to maximise coverage and service. Understanding that our customers are the core of our business, we maintain strong relationships with external transport companies to guarantee that our high delivery standards are consistently met, and in our Sydney operation, own a fleet of refrigerated trucks that provide us with the ability to offer same day delivery (same day delivery also available at a number of our other depots). Complementing our wholesale business is our retail division, which encompasses 19 retail butcher stores, strategically placed throughout NSW to maximise coverage.
