DPOware is a Danish software house delivering a Collaborative platform (SaaS) supporting a full operating model to support compliance and risk management. The platform will help companies to implement the new EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) as well as ISO27000, and it provides a proven approach, accelerators and functionality, and direct integration of employees, customers and suppliers. Background for establishment the company: One of the founders was previously Regional CIO (at a global company with 500.000+ employees), and one of the key challenges was how to become GDPR compliant. Once he became fully immersed in the GDPR challenges, it became clear to him how to build the operating model. He soon realized the need for a platform to support this journey and to avoid significant effort to ensure the model was properly implemented and maintained on an ongoing basis. After evaluating software solutions on the market, I realized none of them met my expectations. And that is why we have established DPOware®. The platform is designed to deliver the following features: 1. Templates on policies, procedures, instructions, controls 2. Document management - Ensure that the revisions are in place will be reviewed and approved on time 3. Checklists - which can help companies to build a compliance profile as basis for risk management 4. Mapping data objects into "Subjects" from the following perspectives: process, system and archives 5. Training - Ensure that internal and external parties are properly trained through e-learning 6. Consent - audit trail and documentation on compliance and risk mitigation activities 7. Information security - Establish and implement policies and controls (ISO27000 standard) 8. Risk management - Updated picture of the risk profile and that they can continuously work to reduce risks and continuously report the risk profile to management and the board of directors
